"My kids enjoyed the Wind Surfing tryout. They could windsurf confidently before the end of the first lesson already. Coach Raymond also taught everybody what they were supposed to do on a boat. ..."

At the end of the day, everybody did what they were supposed to do to balance the boat and hold on to the sail and surfing board. When the class ended, prior students were putting the sails and surfboards back to the truck. My kids and I also participated in it without anyone asking us for help because they showed us by example what we were supposed to do. The wind surfing class taught my kids how to wind surf, how to become a good team member, and how leaders lead. I highly encourage parents to assist Coach Raymond during the tryout because that’s a precious leadership and team building training."

I am happy that I did! Raymond is a very experienced coach. His lessons were tailored to my skill level as well as the equipments that I used. From the training, not only did I learn windsurfing skills, but also people skills such as communicating and collaborating with other trainees. The challenges that I overcame as I tried to learn new techniques and the adjustments made as I faced different weather conditions also helped to build my confidence and character. This training is definitely much more than just an interest class."

"I joined the windsurfing program in September 2021 and I LOVE IT! This was a great opportunity to learn the sport as this was the only windsurfing program I know of in the DMV area. ..."

The entire windsurfing experience has been wonderful. Raymond (the coach) made sure every session was safe and the students had fun. The coach welcomes and teaches people of all ages and different skill levels. Ivy (one of the helpers) took really good care of all students to make sure students had the proper attire and food/drinks for every session, and she would help provide the proper attire, food, and drink if the student forgot it. Plus, Ivy takes really good photos and videos for students at every session.

I can see myself improving at each session and this is all THANKS to Raymond’s patient guidance and encouragement to challenge myself. Also, this program is really good at teaching me responsibility and building self-confidence. There is a lot of expensive windsurfing equipment that the coach lets students use and it’s very important I take care of it so it does not get damaged and/or lost. Windsurfing is not easy, and when I am able to sail on the windsurfing board, it makes me very happy that I can do it. One other thing I’ll mention is that I’ve made a lot of friends in this program and I’m very happy we’re able to learn and grow together and even developed relations outside the windsurfing program. I’ll definitely be recommending this windsurfing program to all my family and friends."

Our coach, Raymond, is a very good coach who has many years’ experience. In the first class, he explained in full detail about how the program will be run and what we can expect to learn on that day and in the long term. This helped alleviate any doubt and concern I had.

From the program, I not only learn how to do the sport itself but also learn more about teamwork, communication and being responsible. I have been practicing windsurfing for 2 years now and I really enjoy the program and practicing with the team. Will recommend my friends to try out."
